The buffaloes

“For high quality milk…”

About 1000 italian mediterranean buffaloes are fed with fresh fodder and silage only produced in the fields of the farm, 260 hectares of land in the Piana del Sele, among Battipaglia, Eboli and Capaccio – Paestum (Salerno).

A recent collaboration with the University of Napoli Federico II has showed that inserting in the food ration of the buffaloes a high percentage of fresh fodder it is possible to obtain milk which gives peculiar and pleasant sensorial characteristics to the mozzarella and which controls the relation between omega 6 and omega 3 fatty acids, with known health benefits.

Choices about the stable and the milking process have been made in order to guarantee respect for the animal wellness and maximum hygiene of the milk.
